Overnight Stays - Primary & Secondary
An overnight adventure is a fantastic experience for a school, and these are available all year round.
Whether as an end of term treat for younger schools, a chance to bond with new classmates, break from studies or as part of a youth exchange, we have a package to suit your group.
We also believe that education isn't limited to learning to surf or practising your French while you are here. The learning and adventure begins from the moment they arrive and continues for the whole trip whether abseiling down a wall or taking your turn to help clean up!
Our most popular packages are our two night deals running from lunch time but we can do one night trips, 3 night trips, we have some schools that come for a week. Our aim is to consult with leaders to customise a package that will suit your particular group whether you want to arrive early, are worried about the mixing of boys and girls, want to incorporate workshops or just fancy including an extra surf.
Talk to us and we'll design an outdoor pursuits trip that your students will remember for a long time.
Below are some sample programmes (click on the blue links) and a guideline of what students need to bring with them ... and what should stay at home:
Obviously these are general packages as the needs, teaching apraoches and learning outcomes of programmes for a primary school will differ to a 6th year seconday school. We will work with you to make sure it suits your students needs.
Accommodation & Food
- we have two accommodation centres and can sleep up to 120 students. Most of our rooms in both Centres are en-suite.
- we never mix adults and children in our residential (overnight stay) centres (aside from leaders naturally, who have their own private rooms in the building)
- all bed linen is provided and room lists are provided in advance for allocation purposes
- no matter what package you pick, there is always a first-aid trained member of staff on duty and the doctor's office is here in Bundoran. Sligo hospital is just 25 minutes away
- food is provided on site and we can cater for all dietary needs and allergies. Vegetarian options are also offered
- breakfast is continental style, cereal, fruit, toast, preserves, tea, coffee, more toast!
- lunch consists of soup & sandwiches, pasta dishes, salads, pizza, depending on how long you stay/what option you choose
- dinner is a choice of 3 main courses followed by dessert
We will cover all this and much more when providing quotes and support in the lead up to any trip.
"Chaith Rang 6 trí lá i mBun Dobhráin an tseachtain seo caite. Rinneamar go leor rudaí a bhí go hiontach: surfáil, dúshlán comhoibrithe, ag tógáil raftaí, rópadóireacht, léim ar mhaide luascáin go hard sa spéir, snámh sna fharraige chomh maith le Tóraíocht Oíche. Bhí an bia sa bhialann chomh blasta agus bhí na freastalaithe iontach béasach agus deas. Thaitin na teagascóirí: Chris, Jack Foxy, Hibhe agus Fran go mór linn. Turas den scoth a bhí ann – an ceann is fearr riamh. Bhíomar ar fad traochta ag an mbealach abhaile. Go raibh míle maith agat Daire, Lí-Nóra agus Trish."

Just like our day trips, packages are available to suit all budgets. We strive to offer value for money at all times. However, we do not take shortcuts or use unqualified staff or trainees to save costs. We do not skimp on equipment, insurance, staff or safety ratios.
With our packages, we try and combine the sports with higher overheads such as kayaking or surfing, with lower cost activities to provide an amazing diverse excursion for your group. We are here to help you design a trip for your group within your financial constraints. Our aim, whether you are jumping off a cliff, having a chilled out evening or archery session, is that you, the children and the parents feel that each activity is top notch and value for money.

We engage with the students and clearly explain the do's and don'ts of the Adventure Centre. Nobody is expected to be super-sporty or mega-confident at everything (if you are, great!). Our speciality is beginner lessons and working with young people.
Our aim is to encourage them to go to the edge of their comfort zone..and then just a little further. Not so much that they don't enjoy it, just so they look back with pride and self esteem and say "I can't believe I did that". For some this will be scaling the highest wall or jumping off a cliff. For others it will be going knee deep in water or speaking in front of their peers. We all have different goals.
All we ask is that you try everything once. If it's not for you, no problem, we're pretty sure you'll love the next thing. We consider ourselves, leaders, and the students all part of the same team.
Nobody wins unless everybody wins. We make no apologies that the students are expected to help clean up after themselves and leave the rooms tidy. We will treat them with respect and we expect the same in return.
Finally while some schools will choose self-catering or self- supervision options, we would strongly encourage our comprehensive programmes. It is our belief bored kids get into trouble. Students who are engaged and entertained (and supervised) are usually too busy enjoying themselves to worry about causing problems.
